After numerous rumors that iPhone 4 8GB will cost more than their 16 and 32GB models, we have confirmation from BGR.in that the news was credible. The carriers have decided to price the iPhone 4 with less memory storage at a price which is expensive than its successor. We are not sure what Airtel and Aircel had in mind when they decided price of iPhone 4 8GB. Unexpectedly, no one ever thought that these carriers would price it above Rs 35,000.
Needless to say, iPhone 4 16 and 32GB models which were priced at 34,500 for 16GB and 40,900 for 32GB model will be discontinued soon. Many outlets of Aircel and Airtel have already gone out of stock and rest of them have few left. If you are lucky enough to grab one for yourself, you should do it now. Also, you can try out various others sellers in the local market who previously bought various models from the carriers for selling purpose. Unfortunately, it is the only option available if you have plans to buy an iPhone 4.
On the other hand, iPhone 4S 16 and 32GB is priced by Airtel and Airtel at a price tag of Rs 44,500 and Rs 50,900 respectively. Interestingly, both the carriers are already out of the pre-orders before the deadline, that is, November 25 when they would go out for sell. However, Airtel site is still up and running, but Aircel site has gone down without any reason. We are assuming that carriers have limited stock for iPhone 4S in India because very few people would be interested to buy them at this price point.
In comparison to other countries, iPhone 4S factory unlocked is a bit cheaper if compared with Indian prices. iPhone 4 8GB is available in US for $99 with contract from AT&T. We are also hearing that Apple would start selling refurbished iPhone 4 soon in India. It could be another option if you want something affordable. Are you planning to buy iPhone 4 8GB from India? Does these prices make sense to you? We will like to hear from you in the comment section.
